Carmine – WSNWG 17

Flame-haired, dark and hypnotic techno demon Rodhad is back on his own WSNWG imprint, this time with Oslo-based DJ and producer Kameliia. This new EP emerges from a series of studio sessions at WSNWG Studio during the summer of 2024 and captures real creative synergy between the two artists. ‘Carmine 01’ pairs scruffy kicks and ominous bell sounds with smoky, ghoulish vocal whispers that drift in and out. ‘Carmine 02’ then brings more thudding low ends and detuned keys for another eerie, off-kilter groove and ‘Carmine 03’ slips into a streamlined and supple deep techno melange that is brilliantly heady. ‘Carmine 04’ closes with daubs of synth colour and charges of electricity that bring extra dimensions to the urgent rhythms.
