Dutch label Cat In The Bang is back with more unfitted jungle excellence, with Duffy and Midnight Dubs hooking up to devastating effect across a quartet of weapons. ‘Never Never’ opens up with precision drum science, crispy breaks and sci-fi melodies raining down the face of the tune. ‘Don’t Test’ then tests the speakers with a supersized low ends and more scintillant jungle breaks, the time with ragga vocals brings some old school links and real authenticity. ‘LOTJ’ is a blend of deep pads and cosmic wonder, and another physical rhythm that never quits. ‘Stress Valve’ is a more icy and stopped back sound with a deep, rubbery bassline and plenty of soul and spirit that cuts right through.
