Cause & Effect – Dolly TS 12

Stojche is an underground Macedonian techno maverick who brings his disruptive sounds to the always classy Dolly here. It’s deep, driving techno but is about more than macho rhythm with intriguing sound designs on ‘Element’ worming their way through the mix here next to splashy cymbals and amped up stabs. ‘Heritage’ is just as quick but settles into a more serene groove that is frictionless and linear. ‘Southside’ brings some peak time punch and off-kilter rawness with hammering stabs and huge hi-hat ringlets all firing the synapses. ‘Sentiment 091’ shuts down with a tightly woven set of loose that rock back and forth on spring-loaded kicks. It’s electrifying and fresh techno for the heads.
