Data Sciencer – Lunar Orbiter Program 20

Gamayun is a bird in Russian folklore that serves as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge. It’s also the alias of an electro producer with «expertise in navigating complex gravitational anomalies.» We’re not sure what that means but whoever it is sure know how’s to explore new ground on this EP. ‘Solaristik’ is hyper-real with impossibly snappy drum breaks and gurgling acid lines that weave their way in and out of the kinetic rhythms. ‘Datasciencer’ is a chuggy, funky, dubby gem with fizzy acid lines pang through the mix and ‘Machine Talk’ goes even faster with automated drums and chrome-plated synths mapping out a future world. ‘Cornered’ closes with some bold bass notes and plenty of reverb that recalls peak Drexciya.
