Parisian label Positive Future hears lead dons Poggio and Gabriel Belabbas imagine just that; they’re now five years in, and split their hours between a main catalogue and this PF Originals strand. The second instalment in the series goes to 95 Steps, alias of Berlin-based French producer Siize, an increasing featurer ont the label since an earlier compilation standout. Five tracks on 12″: ‘Deep Blue’ first with vocalist Sacha Hladiy, hearing deep house in cold starage; ‘Wise Words’ and ‘House Tribes’ make the midpoint with averted gaze and inner monologues on tempered expectation; and finally ‘The Good Tips’ and ‘Touch It’ complete the record with a watery 2-step breakdown, movable but not in the least bit hurrisome.
