Dark, clean and progressive debut massiveness from Atch22, free agent of the Czech scene. Written over a winter locked into a Neukolln studio while temperatures outside dropped toward minus 14, ‘Equal Transients’, if you read the title literally, can be taken to be his sonic appeal to dynamic gain normalisation. Somehow that has something to do with keeping warm. The music is heated enough too, ‘Switchback’ with its metallic impacts and high-voltage stabs, and Kohra’s Spirit Of Goa remix hitting terminal velocity with a faster-paced Goa version.
