Face The Nation – Clone Classic Cuts 01
Repress de la primera referencia de Clone Classic Cuts, con cuatro tracks míticos de Mike Dunn.
A true architect of Chicago house with a whole shelf full of anthems to his name, Mike Dunn continues to define the sound of the underground with Face The Nation, more than two decades in. Dunn has released countless club staples under aliases including QX-1, The Jass Mann, MD III and The MD Connection, always with a focus on blistering raw drums and often mad acid lines. This EP captures Dunn’s unmistakable energy and vocal-laced style, all delivered with the confidence of a true original. The main track is an ad-libbed head wrecker, ‘Personal Problem’ gets wobbly with Dunn’s words musing on relationship mistreatment, ‘Set Me Free’ is no doubt a response to the themes of the former and ‘Going Nowhere’ is a Jackson Pollock made scone – a chaotic brew of acid shapeshifting, prickly textures, ragged analogue drums and pure warehouse madness.
