Hitting pause on the label while his life seems to be perpetually on fast-forward, the people’s champion Tim Reaper wraps up Future Retro so far with a series of his own VIPs from some of the label’s many great escapades. Each version hits with some of Tim’s hardest energy. The chops on his opening remix of Harmony’s ‘Dream’ alone tell you what’s up: pure dancefloor dynamite. Another mean high is his take on Outrage & Sonar’s Ghost ‘The Wait’. Littered with an absolute stinking bassline, it’s so big and elasticated it eclipses everything in the most dynamic, abrasive way. Another essential is the expert choppage and drum chaos on his take on Refreshers ‘Crumbling Down’. But on the real, the whole collection hits hard. Full respect to Tim for pausing the label, we’re sure he’ll bring it back at just the right time in the future…
