GEMS 0.1 – Analytic Trail LP 14

AnalyticTrail launches its new series with Gems 0.1, a seven track snapshot of contemporary techno curated by label head Markantonio and grounded in the Neapolitan groove tradition. Both hypnotic motion and functional power are centred here and highlights abound. First up is Human Safari’s ‘Trap Door’ which is jazzy yet percussion-driven. Lysander’s ‘Riot in Rio’ follows and is a tribal and rolling sound with fiery vocals. KLBR offers two jams, the first being ‘Thunder Drums’ which is analogue-heavy and punchy, and there sound then flips the script. ‘Nikaia Nightfall’ is light and airy, lively and full of mischievous spirit that brings a little something different to a techno set.
