Tensal is a techno vet who has landed on many landmark labels from Blueprint to Drei Vinyl as well as his own self-titled imprint, both solo and in collaboration with plenty of equally revered peers. He goes it alone here with a blazing new EP on Panic Sound that, as usual, pulls no punches. ‘High Octane’ opens and lives up to the name – a caustic, metallic banger with a cold heart – if any – but undeniably rhythmic heft. ‘Onius’ is more mental with tightly coiled synths sending you into overdrive, then ‘Leviticus 11’ ramps things up further with infinite loops and cosmic tension that sound alike being pulled into a black hole. Probably. ‘Ende’ is a scuffed-up tool for peak time control.
