Hornsmen Blessing – Fruits 82

Copenhagen’s Horns of Guiding Star Orchestra close out the ‘Morning Blessing Riddim’ series with a suitably brass-heavy double-header. ‘Hornsmen Blessing’ is the more militant proposition with its three-piece horn line striding over the riddim before a warmer trombone solo loosens things up. Flip for ‘Hornsmen Dubbing’, where Roberto Sanchez takes the screwdriver to the lot and pulls the arrangement to pieces, paring the riddim back until bass and echo are left holding the fort. Meditation, but nobody told the speaker cones.
