Spazio Disponible’s Nero offshoot is back with more brain-bending deep tech brilliance from the boss man, Donato Dozzy. No one really comes close to the Italian when you’re talking about hypnotic, linear and lithe techno. He’s long perfected the art both solo and with Neel as Voices From The Lake, and this latest EP is another one to add to his faultless catalogue. ‘Hypno Trance 0’ is a quick-stepping sound with phased lines roaming through the stereo field to give great scale. ‘Hypno Trance 6’ is more unsettling, with a blend of fizzing static and bleeping synth sequences that turn up the intensity. ‘Hypno Trance 9’ closes with a constant rush of synth menace that rises and falls but never abates, and when paired with the supple but inescapable kicks, makes for a truly meditative trip.
