Germany’s raw techno specialist Bidoben lands on Sublunar, the imprint run by Sciahri, with six scintillating and surging sounds. ‘Jett’ opens with a hurried drive while pairing melodic detail with firm techno momentum, and ‘Voltage C’ moves in a more stripped direction that lets subtle atmosphere built around a precise groove. ‘Tormented’ closes the first side with darker intensity and grit befitting a dank warehouse. On the flip, ‘Hypernature’ introduces cosmic touches and rolling rhythm that is muscular and bold before ‘Ashley Origami’ locks into a direct, peak-time trip marbled with sonar blips. The EP finishes with ‘Edges Of Normal’, a lighter, slightly mysterious piece that rounds off the record with great unbalance.
