Savy Records marks its fifth year in the game with a new vinyl-only series exploring the darker corners of the dance floor. Opening with Andy Martin’s dub-tinged ‘Wicked Tune You Know,’ the Mexican-Jamaican producer layers percussive undertows beneath an off-kilter synth line that nods to UK bass. Sansibar follows with ‘Innerwelt», a twisted, acid-tinged electro cut where washed-out vocals drift over unsteady rhythms. On the flip, label founder IDA keeps it sharp with ‘Electrostatic Rest’, a precise electro roller built on clean drums and a classic bassline. Lewski closes with the analogue, bass-heavy »Glakk», a peak-time banger that drives the EP home.
