Misdirection – Eartoground 68

Argentinian Translate tends towards the more abstract end of the techno spectrum. His EarToGround debut is stacked with four cuts of deep, hypnotic rhythm that hums and buzzes like a substation. ‘Misdirection’ soon settles into a linear odyssey with rolling kicks left unhindered as tactile synths roam about up top. ‘Kw’ has a little more bite in the percussion but everything is still very much locked in place as waves of voltage surge through the grooves. ‘Cfg’ carries on down the same path with endless loops that subtly change with each rotation as your mind melts more and more and ‘Gas’ then takes you deep into an interplanetary abyss with sci-fi transmissions and the sound of spacecraft circling the drums.
