Grovskopa se encarga de la referencia número 128 del sello Mord con cuatro temarracos originales recién salidos del horno.
Sweden’s Grovskopa (who also has a fine catalogue of bold, loopy techno under his Rivet alias) keeps things lean and purposeful on Mord with four-to-the-floor pressure and still very little interest in unnecessary decoration. The appeal is in the details: clipped percussion, shifting basslines and subtle changes that gradually tighten the screws rather than going for obvious peaks. There’s a neat crossover between stripped-back minimalism and tougher techno on the juggling ‘Kagig’ while ‘Prega’ endlessly falls in on itself only to rise, rinse and repeat. ‘Blaga’ has more industrial roughness to its metal texture and ‘Mog’ has an urgency that gets your back up because of the world’s human voice that rips through the mix. Loop techno perfection.
