La primera referencia de la serie Versus del sello Mutual Rytm viene firmada por Regent y Chontane.
‘Versus 001’ launches Mutual Rytm’s new offshoot with Berlin regulars Regent and Chontane trading sides, each looking in at a distinct angle on the same scene; first Regent with ‘Ephemera’, ‘Slow Burn’ and ‘Afterglow’, wounding cuts implying master-servant dynamics of aggression and control, synth zings rising in clean, incremental steps. Chontane answers in a looser voice: ‘Plaxaric’ and ‘Grounding Factor’ presage ‘Mental Lab’ as the fractured, gridded IDM-jungle flection. Extra digital tracks extend both approaches without blurring them; as a first entry in the conceptual Versus series, it sets the dance battle template clearly.
