Mad Dog have always played a special role on archivist/revivalist label Vinyl Fanatiks. The label launched with a Mad Dog reissue back in 2018 and all people involved are hardcore Southampton crew, good mates and have many collabs between them. Well it turns out they also play a special role in the influences of Tim Reaper who cited ‘My God’ as a personal jungle fave. So not only did Dave Wallace and Shaun O’Hara (who also used to collaborate as Fugitive) invite Tim to remix it (which he has, with some really sick stretchy chops) but they also reunited in the studio for the first time in 30 years to do their own goose-bumping update. They’ve even hinted more may come from this long-estranged duo. What a moment. You’d be barking not to take this for walkies.
