Negative Time EP – Planet Rhythm 145

Planet Rhythm is one of the most consistent labels out there. It deals in a no-frills brand of techno that is designed for serious DJs and serious dancers only, no matter who is at the helm. The prolific label has time to squeeze out one more this year and it’s from Muzmin, who offers up five fierce cuts that tap into the core foundations of techno. His drums land heavy, the percussion is scattered only sparingly and synths are like distant solar pulses. It’s cerebral and evocative without ever trying too hard and for that reason is hugely effective.
