Planet Rhythm’s V/As are always bound to get the blood thinned and thrumming – of course, they’re the label that launched Adam Beyer and Cari Lekebusch’s earliest productions out of Stockholm in the early 90s. Though Dubwars is their flagship series, they’re not always warmongers: ‘Neon Signs’ is a standalone V/A bringing six producers, all downing weapons for material landing in a less hard but still driving encampent, heard playing deep in their barracks during off season. Cook’s title number is the namesake of the EP, and bears the flag of regimented, controlled-chaotic dub.
