The Donostia-San Sebastian cultural platform Dantz also runs the annual Dantz Festival, a week-long event that has in the past hosted Apparat, Avalon Emerson, Jeff Mills and Call Super, sitting at the more considered end of European electronic programming. Their ‘Network Vol. 1’ V/A is their second, running parallel to Promising/Youngster’s ‘Time And Space’ solo EP: eight tracks span a roster both local and international, known and less known, from Vlaar’s opening with ‘Zionskirch’, Becken and Usero serving healing pads mid-sequence, and Paolo Solo’s ‘Be Nice’ running the longest at a six-and-a-half-minute tech house steam letoff. Futuristic production is clearly the main non-negotiable.
