Originally released in 2005, Vitalic’s debut album returns for its 20th anniversary with this special reissue which comes with rare tracks and unreleased versions. OK Cowboy was something of a defining moment in electronic music, and one that straddled different eras by channelling the euphoric throng of early French electro with the new, abrasive, high-voltage sound of French Touch 2.0, as would later be heard through Justice and Ed Banger’s emergence. Two decades on, the record’s impact remains undiminished and the sounds are as bold, muscular and emotionally charged as ever, while still sounding like the future the record once predicted.
