Opponent Stims – Throttle 19 EP

With front cover art resembling a Fritz Lang movie poster, Christopher Clark de-vaults the exclusives and flexes his reinterpretive muscles with the new companion EP. ‘Opponent Stims’, expanding on last year’s Steep Stims album. With that LP recorded under a deliberate memory constraint. As most tracks were captured in the spirit of old samplers running low on time, this one slams the gearstick harder, serving twinging floor weight and fdoing idgety, maximal justice to the concept of stimming. ‘Who Booed The Geese’ is the flagrant breakcore clip-emptier and notable remix highlight, Clark himself describing the version as an exercise in «maxing out Goose intensity». True say given that it breaks form considerably, compared to the original’s rather forgiving VC-noised arp build.
