Oscura Alquimia – Desencanto 03

Spanish artist Dani Labb exits the Labboratory, with the highly reactive, oxidative yield ‘Oscura Alquimia’ held firmly in hand. The new Desencanto 12″ twines dense rhythmic frameworks about flickers of melody, building an aura both ritualistic and mechanical. The title hints toward transformation, and the music works in that spirit amid a new signing to Sebastian Bruno’s label: loops grind and mutate, bass pressure folds in on itself, and textures shift like incensed smoke. Labb lets repetition carve intensity, recalling the hypnotic strain of European warehouse techno while maintaining his own darker imprint on the local sound and continuum.
