Somewhere between protest camp and bassbin, Leipzig’s Toni Wobble stations the city’s street kids straight in the cosmic dub firing line on ‘Out In The Street’, his first full 7″ for 45Seven. A longtime figure in Europe’s free party and systems underground, Toni cut his teeth with Plug Dub before building the solar-powered Sunplugged rig, shaping a live dub sound steeped in punk grit and low-end mysticism. Written in lockdown, the A-side twists jungle breakbeats, juke syncopation, and roots skanks into a writhing, well-decorated dub experiment, while he flip ‘Irie Cruise’ smacks of smoked-out breakbeat reverie.
