Pandemonium – Future Retro Pandemonium

From 2015 forward, Tim Reaper has found himself at the centre of contemporary jungle’s historical flow, running Future Retro London as a hub for new releases, re-presses and long-form projects, and keeping a constant presence on the scene and on our screens. His name prophesies death, but that’s a false flag; ‘Pandemonium’ is as noisy and alive as ever, situating him beside Champa B, whose early 90s darkside tracks for Modified Magic, Parallax and Green Bay Wax have come back into play as revivable reference points. After years focused on other material under the Grief alias, B steps back to darker zones here, on a clean wax rideshare with both solo and duo moments: ‘Vision Impaired’ and ‘Fleetwood’ burn on tension and momentum, ‘Attitude’ gripes with comparative sass, and ‘Warrior Stompers’ is the darkly euphoric, jungletech trek.
