Frenzy and Vulged founder Isaiah delivers a no-bullshit six-tracker that ties itself firmly to early techno’s percussive, functional foundations. Opener ‘Monthly’ sets a punchy, minimal tone with loops that soon tie your mind in knots. ‘Yearly’ and ‘Hourly’ ramp up hypnotic energy through layered percussion and driving basslines and then the back half of the record turns deeper: ‘Real’ strips down into sparse, shimmering territory, while ‘Everlasting’ reintroduces a tougher, darker edge and is closed out by a smoother, bass-forward remix from fellow Frenzy member Beau Didier. Backspin Records is fast becoming a consistent, groove-driven techno staple.
