Pirka Vinyl’s eighth edition keeps the anonymous UK hand at the controls, as ever with four cheeky reconstructions remade from danceable, big-room memory. ‘Here We Go’ loops the immortal «hey girls, hey boys, superstar DJs…» – a certain, sly lift from The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’..’Lit Luv’ pivots to a sweeter refrain, «can you feel a little love?», perhaps a filter on a Ten City-style vocal, though the source is hazier. Then to the flip: ‘Roll On’ drops a baritone «keep rollin’, rollin’, rollin’…» – unmistakably Limp Bizkit – while Closer ‘Breathe’ floats on «just believe in another day, just breathe…», a spectral splice of Telepopmusik’s ‘Breathe’.
