Platipus 30 Years Vol 8

Platipus was one of the most celebrated trance labels of the 90s and with that kind of bursting at the seams catalogue, they continue to meet the demand by reissuing key tracks from their history. Part 8 features another four legendary tracks as they celebrate passing the 30 year milestone. First is Union Jack’s uptempo monster remix of Poltergeist’s ‘Vicious Circles’. Clanger’s ‘Seadog’ comes next and was most known for being played by Nick Warren in the third ever Global Underground mix CD.

Also featured is ‘Spasm’, the most recent track on this EP, which fits perfectly, capturing the darker side of trance and progressive house. Last up is one of Art Of Trance’s best loved tracks, ‘Killamanjaro’. Released at the turn of the century but still capable of bringing shivers down the spine. In this episode, Platipus have done a great job taking something from each decade to show off the quality of what is, without doubt, a classic label.
