Quince – Non 75
Para la referencia número 75 del sello Non Series tenemos un álbum en triple vinilo con trece tracks de varios artistas.
The Non Series label out of Spain has always been a serious player when it comes to mental techno. By mental, we mean heady and cerebral rather than wild, grooves on this label are often long-form, sleek and drawn out for maximum hypnotic effect rather than getting up in your face and demanding physical responses. And that is the case here with a 15th anniversary special that gathers artists from different backgrounds «whose music reflects the spirit and musical identity of the label.» Most are debutants and they all impress, from Vladw’s slow-burn descent into mind-melting rhythm on ‘Ushba’ to Kangding Ray’s more skittish, IDM-infused ‘Pacific Coast Highway’. Pure class.
