Re-Form Ver-1.0 – We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want 128
Increíble Various Artists de siete cortes recopilados en un álbum editado en 2×12″.
FORM@ began in 1994 as the u-NEX cassette label in Tokyo, and over the years from then, after a move to CD and eventual name change, they’d come to document many of the city’s best innovations in dreamy dance musical sound, that is, before the scene’s network of producers dispersed into their own projects. ‘Re-Form Ver-1.0’ was the third and last of those: a remix compilation of catalogue material, emblazoned on CD only and forgotten, but now it’s time to remember.
Out for the first time on vinyl, the cast is the label’s own roster of Virgo, Tensor, Led-M and Missing Project, plus a guest feature from Penance. Seven tracks across four sides, 45rpm cut, heavyweight sleeve. It’s exceedingly authentic music, unbound by expectations of genre continuity – ‘Proxima Scope’ is utter speed garage via dream pop mayhem, while in-betweeny electro remedy ‘Cure Of Soul’ has pads that could heal even the worst soulrot.
