Berlin techno-head Scheermann is not only a fine DJ and producer, but also works behind the scenes at the Intakt Berlin vinyl pressing plant, so has a grasp of dynamics that is way above average. This debut on Primordial State backs that up with deep, roomy but rich techno rollers, starting with the speedy hypnosis of ‘Reikon Core’. There is more darkness and heaviness to ‘Kiba Cut’, which is a tracky and straight up cut then ‘Tama Flux’ keeps you looking over your shoulder with its creepy little synth stabs. ‘Fuka Rift’ closes with more bulky, muscular rhythms.
