Scorpio III – Orbital Oscillation 04

Gina Demarchi is a 20-something producer from Buenos Aires who has been making moves in the techno world, often on the Orbital Oscillation label. She’s back on it now with a full EP that centres her bounce, tribal sounds. ‘Killer Desire’ is a straight-up pumper peppered with toms, ramped up by bass kills and run through with a nice synth warmth. ‘My Scorp’ follows a similar path with even tougher drums and ‘Track 3’ is another tightly woven and percussive sound that swerves much melody in favour of rhythm. A trio of remixes keep the supple, smooth techno sounds coming for when you want the energy without the darkness.
