It’s funny that the more Craven Faults keeps his own personality out of the spotlight, the more character his music seems to take on. Steeped in the chilly north and the bleak countryside, although as he often says he’s more interested in the scars left by humanity on it than the rugged nature itself, the concepts are matched by widescreen sounds that unfold gradually. Very gradually, in the case of ‘Far Closes’, the closing 15 minute epic here, but it’s atmopsheric modular magic from start to finish here.
