On ‘Solace Pt. 2’, Milan man Alarico tightens his gearstick grip, brandishing six sonic daggers built to instruction; poison on the tips titrated, measured out to the third decimal point, just enough keep the collective body intoxicated. ‘Flux’ impresses most on the A with its sword-sheathing SFX turned hi-hats plus rapid-velocitied claps; ‘Ivory’ is the more guns-ablaze take on percussion design, the occasional mega-compressed vocal moan thrown in every phrase or so. Released on his own FLIRT imprint, it’s a dive-bomb onto that current Berlin axis of fast and precise techno.
