Solanya – Harmony 24

Harmony Rec.’s 24th release and the second to feature New Delhi producer Monophonik; their 21st release paired him with Kohra, but here he meets label co-founder Alfred Czital, who grew up in Prague, and runs the label alongside a residency at Ankali. Monophonik, real name Shatrunjai Dewan, works from a strictly analogue and modular setup; so live performer first, Goa-trance centric recordings second. We’ve four tracks: the A-side moves from the dreamy psych-trance of ‘Sun Born’ into the more urgent ‘Cloudline’. The B-side opens out first onto ‘Sector 51»s much deeper alchemies, then closes with the vocal title track with guest producer Riva.
