A track like ‘Spaceship Galliot’ doesn’t so much arrive as hover – lifted from Envenomations, his 2025 album, Buffalo audio shepherd Mike Parker’s now long-running discography is better for it. There’s a sense of microscopic running through his work; in no rush to unfold, this oar-powered ejector of a track hears a central bleep like the sonic pulsing of sonar, or the alert of an LCARS monitor. ‘Saber-Tooth Animal’ pares back the processing to pure bounce and rilling clarity, as a topping of buzz rounds off a beautifully jump-up, rubberband bassline.
