Milan Rottinger’s Ayu project has become a familiar sight on Prague’s Harmony Rec., with the producer releasing a gaggle of solo and collaborative EPs since joining the label in 2024. Even so, Spiral Motion is still his first collection of solo original productions for well over 18 months. He delivers two fresh cuts on side A: the surging, trance tempo dark-room throb of ‘Come On’, where murky synth motifs and urgent spoken word samples catch the ear, and the more expressively psychedelic – but no less trance-inducing – ‘Pure NRG’. Both cuts get remixed on the flip, with the deliciously loose-limbed and acid-flecked IN2STELLAR rub of ‘Come On’ being joined by a more minimalistic, trippy and bass-heavy interpretation of ‘Pure NRG’ by Canadian artist D Tiffany.
