South Africa-born, NYC-based dub veteran Brendon Moeller returns to Dutch powerhouse Delsin with more finely tuned techno explorations that follow on from his vital 2022 outing, the ‘Highly Concentrated’ EP. These four tunes navigate a spectrum from introspective, dub-inflected grooves to bold, rhythmically complex steppers. Low-end frequencies anchor the sound while inventive percussion and looping patterns keep the energy taut and immersive. Moeller’s signature dub sensibility is ever-present but subtly evolved – the impact is always lasting upon both head and heel as he balances cerebral intricacy with sufficient weight in the lower frequencies.
