The relentless label is back with more faultless sounds from the vanguard, but once again, this is an EP that is also steeped in the true school values. ‘Flatline’ is jacked up and arresting, a tune designed to grapple with your focus through its punishing drums and layered synths. ‘Fondamenta’ has shimmering synths that bring extra movement to the rock-solid kicks, then ‘Surface’ spins you out on mad acid. ‘Dust’ and ‘Rust’ shut down with textured menace and a sound that rewires your brain once the probes are set to maximum.
