Always a charm when the machine operators of our favourite labels help themselves to their own slice of the pie. Berlin banger bringer and Klasse Wrecks co-boss Mr. Ho distils the restless, genre-fluid instincts that have defined both his DJ sets and his label output, having always served a bridge between Hong Kong and European underground scenes. Here the sense is of new, buzzing frontiers: ‘Tight’ and ‘Unfazed’ move stripped and kinetic, with melodic, avian, high-register synths and playful clave taps. Psy energies come checked off on ‘Maybe Not’ and ‘Take Flight’ meanwhile, the latter closing out somewhere between goa, EBM, and acid.
