What a combination this is for electro-heads as the Motor City meets the Dutch West Coast with DJ Maaco aka Detroit in Effect and Alden Tyrell cooking up some visceral analogue heat in part two of their collaboration. ‘We Still Kill The Old Way (part II)’ is acid laced and corrugated low end funk. ‘The Greys Matter’ has a searching sense of futurism in the celestial lead lines but streetwise grit in the drums. ‘Moving People (Electro)’ is a coarse and caustic workout with Kraftworking line shimmering amid ragged rhythms and ‘Moving People (Techno)’ then gets faster, more stripped back but no less physical.
