ZamZam Sounds closes its iconic 7″ series with a suitably heavyweight double pack from Bristol titans Dubkasm & Gorgon Sound, who mark their first vinyl link-up since the Peng! Sound days. The release bridges the past and the present, starting with Dubkasm’s ‘The Return,’ which is a thunderous stepper layered with melodica, flute and raw dub mixing. Gorgon Sound’s remix strips it to a lean, synth-driven powerhouse built for rewinds. Their own cut, ‘Born Under Siege,’ pushes their sound into darker, more martial territory, while Dubkasm’s remix amplifies it into a baroque dub odyssey. Limited to 1000 copies, this showcase-style set is a fitting finale for ZamZam’s legendary run.
