Hertz is a long-time techno powerhouse from Sweden with a vast catalogue. He’s got plenty of range too, and that shows on this new EP, which offers a range of different weapons which have already had support from a broad spectrum of big names from Carl Cox to Dave Clarke and Lilly Palmer. ‘Timballe’ has a rattling percussive sound to send peak time floors man, then Spanish artist Coyu relays the drums with much more heft. ‘Chord Chamber’ is up-on-your-toes techno with Detroit soul and ‘Lush Pad’ sinks into a deeper vibe with a more serene feel and widescreen sense of groove for the late-night hours.
