From their base in a remote Italian island village, Save Your Atoll turns isolation to insolation on their latest full-length for Fur:ther Sessions. Village Resistance is their tenth release with the label, following a run of records where coastal stillness and quietly defiant energy meet in finely detailed sound design. Across ‘Pinegrove Council’, ‘Pulsazione Vitale’, ‘Stones And Ropes’ and ‘Night Reverbs’, marine scene of Atlantean majesty is painted, where coral caverns and living cenotes serve as vessels for a deep-sea hydraulic system; especially track one, which hears equal moods of submersion and emersion, as the calls of untaxed lifeforms chirrup in the distance.
