Bristol sound-sculptor and go-to techno favourite Decka steps up to the revered Semantica label out of Spain with a seriously well-crafted six tracker. This imprint has always placed plenty of importance and atmosphere and mood and Decka leans into that here: ‘When Time Stopped’ is a seat-of-your pants thriller with an eerie white glow and thunderous bass, while ‘Dismantle’ rides on twanging, dubby drums with a more sparse arrangement and alien textures bringing the detail. ‘Vessel’ is a gloopy roller with lashings of static and sonar depth charges and ‘Initialize’ gets even more hi-fidelity and future with a sustained chord that grips your attention and never lets it go. ‘Concealment’ must be more loose and echoes 90s techno while ‘Interchannel’ has a more Detroit feel.
