Len Faki regresa a su sello Figure con este gran EP con tres tracks originales y dos versiones adicionales.
Figure mainstay Len Faki lands another complex flip with ‘Zeram’, an oblique new five-tracker in a minimalistic but room-filling techno vein from the Turkish artist. ‘Maschine Girl’ opens in familiar territory, kick and saturated tom doing more or less all the work, driving at ideas of uiltimate subjection by way of what is essentially a miltary occupation by kick drum regime; ‘Kobold’ finally lets up some of said oppression with a clean and pure bleep addition. The ‘Maschine Girl (Version)’ hardly sounds like the first, adding The Robots-style impulse chirps and 80s sci-fi lasers to a more sporty rendition, before ‘Zera’ heads up the B-side on a straight zipline into emotional electro.
