Morphium EP – Scrap & Delete 04
Invexis produce cuatro frenéticos tracks originales para la cuarta referencia del sello Scrap & Delete.
Following a searing remix on label head Dorbachov’s Ellesmere Street EP, German techno stalwart Invexis makes a storming return to Scrap & Delete with a full solo release: the Morphium EP. A razor-edged four-tracker showcasing his continued mastery of tightly-wound rhythms and sonic evolution.
Long respected for his precise and groove laiden contributions to the harder end of the techno spectrum, Invexis shows no signs of easing up. But he’s not afraid to pivot. Title track “Morphium” opens the EP in unexpected territory: an emotive, melodic crossover cut that retains his mechanical backbone while reaching for something more transcendent. With soaring synth layers and expertly balanced weight, it’s a rare euphoric moment in his catalogue—one destined to erupt across festival tents this summer.
“Nordic Noise” pulls things back into colder, harder territory—a frostbitten slab of functional minimalism driven by raw textures and relentless groove cycles. “Instinct” continues the momentum with restless percussive energy and syncopated punch, channelling classic loop techno aesthetics through a modern, modular lens.
Closing cut “RS” is anything but stripped back—syncopated, complex, and full of kinetic motion, it’s a clear nod to the groove science of late-‘90s techno, reimagined for the next generation of warehouse punters. As ever with Invexis, the sound design is pristine, the arrangements are meticulous, and the intent is clear: this is music for the front line of the dancefloor.
A potent continuation of Scrap & Delete’s rising reputation as a platform for contemporary techno purism, Morphium finds Invexis pushing forward with total conviction.
