With Liquid Body, Matteo Point makes his debut on Incoherent Debts and shows off his love of physical drums but also smart emotional depth. Across five tracks, hypnotic basslines and magnetic vocal fragments create a sound both visceral and introspective. The title cut is a blend of light emitting, heavenly chords and tight, dusty tech beats, ‘Bass Society’ brings a more thumbing low end but still glistening digital melodies and ‘Minerva’ is a sombre sound that turns you inward. ‘This Is My Way’ has an astral outlook but still plenty of human feelings in the mournful bass and ‘Kiss Kiss Gio’ spins out on jungle drum. A confident first statement from a producer attuned to both motion and mood.
