Paranormal factory activities from Paris’s Dhaeur, making his first appearance on Dustin Zahn’s Minneapolis label with ‘Collateral Pleasure’. Known til now only for low-key digitals, he steps into a wider arena here with early backing from Ben Klock, DVS1 and Rene Wise: he first brings fractious and volatile bumps with ‘Bayes’ Theorem’, the hard-driven A1, while ‘Perception’ brushes recklessly against the veil, as beeps sound like foghorns or machine calibrations in laketop mist. ‘Scanning’ and ‘5th Chamber’ provide a stabilised overall mix, as a final, ghostly guffaw of voices lock down an impressive stylistic venture from the French native.
